William "Bill" Roberts K-8- Funding for Multicultural puppets, mask-making materials, and art supplies to empower K-5 students to perform original personal stories through puppetry and masquerade theatre. These tools make sharing original works less intimidating by shifting focus from the student to the puppet or mask, helping students express feelings and share stories they might otherwise hesitate to share in class.
Holm Elementary- Funding for Materials will support English learners in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding American English. Students will also participate in a grocery store field trip, with progress measured by school monitoring, CMAS, and ACCESS assessments.
Carson Elementary School- Funding for a rewards-based system for its Special Education classroom to motivate students to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Deer Creek Middle School- Funding for students with special needs to become as independent as possible in the community. Through a safe, simulated restaurant, students learn essential skills like ordering, serving, handling money, and practicing social interactions.
Lumberg Elementary School- Materials to help emotional regulation: many students face stressors impacting their ability to manage emotions, creating a need for resources to support social-emotional learning. Providing these tools helps students identify their emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, and foster a more inclusive, supportive learning environment for all.
Bell Middle School- Funding for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports program benefits all 775 students by focusing on rewarding positive behaviors, leading to significant improvements in our school climate. This program fosters a supportive and positive environment for our entire student body.
Parmalee Elementary- Funding for glass fusing to fifth grade elementary students to learn the chemistry of glass fusing, design concepts, and safety, and then create their own pieces.
Shelton Elementary- Students in the autism lab are planning and building a coffee cart for the school, where they will create the logo, signage, and manage sales to staff and parents. This project helps students increase confidence, handle challenges, and improve communication skills as they work through disagreements and grow throughout the year.
Foothills Elementary School-Funding to help provide third graders with a dedicated space to sit together and discuss their learning, which is essential for conceptual understanding.
Lawrence Elementary- Funding for incentives to help Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports program.
Outdoor Lab Schools- Funding support for support for the ongoing maintenance and reconstruction of trails at Windy Peak and Mount Blue Sky to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants while preserving the natural resources on our mountain campuses.

Westerra began the School Grant Program over a decade ago and has proudly given more than $550,000 to more than 1,000 Denver-metro area school programs. The Westerra Credit Union School Grant Program strives to enhance students’ learning experiences by providing monetary awards for items like art supplies, sports fees and equipment, after school programs, classroom materials or other programs teachers and schools determine most beneficial.
