Westerra’s Financial Literacy Program (WFL) is a resource with the goal of empowering members and our community to navigate our constantly changing, often confusing, financial times.

In 1934 - 90 years ago - Westerra got our start as a credit union for teachers. Now we’re doing some educating ourselves through WFL.

We Teach Each Other to Prosper

WFL is one more way Westerra is building a stronger, more financially secure community. By making financial literacy a cornerstone of our members' financial journey, we ensure everyone has the tools and knowledge to thrive financially.  Because we believe nothing offers better returns than compound intelligence.

Innovative Tools and Resources

From virtual and in-person seminars to classroom-based presentations to having information at your fingertips in the Zogo app, WFL features a diverse array of resources designed to make learning about personal finance engaging and accessible.

Strength in Diversity

We recognize that financial literacy needs vary across different communities, demographics, and populations. Westerra is committed to providing tailored financial education programs that address the unique challenges faced by our diverse members, including low-income families, students, older-adults, and Spanish-speaking groups.
