Eighth Grade Career Expo In late November, Westerra participated in Douglas County Schools’ Eighth Grade Career Expo. This event welcomed all Douglas County eighth graders to explore career opportunities and connect with local businesses. As a featured organization, Westerra provided insights into careers in finance, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy and real-world skills to inspire the next generation of professionals.
Financial Education Seminars at Arvada West High School This series of financial education seminars covered topics including Identifying and Preventing Fraud, Your First Bank Account, and Credit vs. Debit. One highlight was the Fraud Prevention Seminar, which was presented to over 160 high school seniors. The timely session equipped participants with vital tools to safeguard their finances during the holiday season, underscoring Westerra’s commitment to practical, real-world education.
2024 School Grant Program Winners Announced Westerra’s 2024 School Grant Program, a hallmark initiative that funds projects and resources to enrich the educational experience for Colorado students, announced this year’s winners in mid-November.
